Designed for product designers and engineers who wish to embed tactile sensor into their products, Digitacts sensors feature embedded digital output ideal for OEM integration. These sensors comprise of multiple sensing pads, each typically with 12-24 sensing elements, which can be placed on any location of choosing in the sensor active area. Data from sensors is transferred via I²C or SPI digital interfaces, enabling product designers and engineers to easily integrate Digitacts sensors into their products.
Select DigiTacts sensors with embedded microcontrollers can function either as intelligent peripherals or control. Depending on their configuration, they are sensitive enough to capture pulse waveforms or rugged enough for use as process monitors in mass production environment. Multiple sensors can be combined to cover larger areas with denser spatial resolution.
PPS offers the DigiTacts Full Systems primarily as development kits intended for developers who wish to incorporate PPS’s DigiTacts sensors into the design of their product. DigiTacts Full Systems comprise of two DigiTacts sensors of chosen design coupled with the rechargeable D710 interface electronics with Bluetooth connectivity that attaches the sensors to a computer. The system runs PPS’s Chameleon Tactile Visualization and Acquisition software. This industry-leading software is fully featured which means it can export replay, save test data, and perform analysis functions. Chameleon can also record and playback video with your data results for even greater insight and analysis.
Licensing and manufacturing arrangements for Digitacts embedded sensors and relevant software are negotiated independent of the purchase of the DigiTacts Full Systems.
