Our Stretchable TactArray Pressure Sensor (STS) offers the ability to stretch up to 10% without degrading sensor performance. This unique feature makes this sensor ideal for applications where the pressure sensor must be deformed during use, such as sitting on a soft cushion or stepping in a mold. The simple design of the Stretchable TactArray Pressure Sensor gives a great deal of freedom in designing solutions.
Stretchable Pressure Sensors can be built in both a 1D and 2D layout with spatial resolution as fine as 5mm and can cover large areas of up to 50cm x 40cm. Maximum pressures can be anywhere from 20psi to 50psi depending on your requirements. Pressure Sensors are typically 3mm thick.
