Jae S. Son, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer
Founder and CEO of Pressure Profile Systems, Inc., Dr. Son began establishing his expertise in various advanced sensor technologies while at the Harvard Robotics Laboratory in the mid-90's. This involved collaborative research with the MIT Artificial Intelligence Lab, Yale Vision and Robotics Group, and the Stanford Dexterous Manipulation Laboratory. In addition to his research expertise, his corporate engineering experiences include Hughes Space and Communications Sensors Operations, General Motors, and Howard Hughes Medical Institute. His talents for finding innovative answers to new applications problems, allow for continual pioneering and growth in the field of tactile sensor technologies.
dr. howard goldberg, Executive Vice President of operations
Dr. Goldberg is the former President and COO of Interlink Electronics (OTC: LINK) where he achieved 36% increase in 2014 revenue. Prior to Interlink, he was the President of Supply-Chain Services for DEX, Inc., a high-tech product repair and supply-chain solutions to Fortune-500 clients. Dr. Goldberg was accountable for global P&L, operations, and engineering for 7 ISO-certified plants located in 5 countries. Prior to DEX, Dr. Goldberg was EVP of Business & Operations for Colibrys, Inc. (formerly Applied MEMS, Inc.) which offered micro-machined silicon smart-sensor solutions that revolutionized energy exploration, defense and aerospace, process control, and telecommunications industries. He successfully drove efforts to evolve the company from an R&D center, to Business Unit, to ultimate spin-off and acquisition by a Swiss parent company to become its North American regional headquarters.
Eli Yered, Chief Financial Officer
Responsible for the overall financial management of the company, its financial reporting and transparency, and for multiple corporate functions including controller, investor relations, long-range planning and strategic development. During his tenure at PPS, Mr. Yered played a key role in raising private investments as well as government & strategic grants. Mr. Yered is an officer in the Israeli army and holds an M.B.A. from UCLA Anderson, where he graduated as member of the Dean List. He also holds a B.S.C. in Computer Engineering from the Hebrew university.
John Heaton, Sales Executive
Mr. Heaton is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technical sales and sales management, including working with start-ups, and with large organizations dealing with F100 global accounts. He recently joined PPS as Sales Executive, responsible for direct sales and business development in the US. Prior to joining PPS, Mr. Heaton worked at several design automation companies including Mentor Graphics Corp and Cadence Design Systems, also in IT with IBM Platform Computing. Mr. Heaton holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Aston, Birmingham, UK. and completed the Aston University Business Administration Program. He also completed the Miller-Heiman and Target Account Selling programs.
DR. GORDON DOBIE, PPS UK DIRECTOR
Dr. Dobie leads the Research and Development team and European operations from the UK office based in Glasgow. Dr. Dobie studied for his PhD in robotics and signal processing at the University of Strathclyde. He received a Royal Society of Edinburgh Enterprise Fellowship which focused on the commercialisation of novel research. Dr. Dobie has led a number of large multi-partner research and development projects and has published numerous scientific papers. He runs a joint research program between the University of Strathclyde and PPS which focuses on the development and commercialisation of new technologies.
DR. CHARLES MACLEOD, PPS UK SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Dr Charles MacLeod, has an MEng and PhD from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. His expertise in sensing, robotics and electronics has seen him work on a number of challenging and unique industrially focused projects. Charles has worked alongside colleagues to launch several high-profile projects across the Technology Readiness Levels. Being responsible for EU Sales and Business development Charles brings this overall expertise and enthusiasm to the PPS UK team for greater future success and growth.
