TactArray Distributed Pressure Measurement Systems - Overview
PPS TactArray distributed pressure measurement systems were developed for measuring the tactile pressure distribution between objects in direct physical contact.
All TactArray systems include one or more sensor arrays, drive electronics, real-time visualization and acquisition software, power supply and cables, and an operator’s manual. With a Windows-based PC, you have everything you need to begin collecting data.
Our patented tactile array distributed pressure measurement technology enables a two-dimensional array of pressure sensing elements in a thin, continuous sheet. Using a simple but powerful capacitive approach, PPS tactile sensors offer industry-leading sensitivity and repeatability with a wide variety of options for design.
Data from the sensors is conditioned using PPS Interface Electronics and the TactArray software
provides real-time visualization of resulting pressure map and allows for data analysis, capture and extract.
